Welcome to the website of Gentle Shepherd Metropolitan Community Church in Phoenix, Arizona. I hope with the information you find among these pages, you will be introduced not only to us, the congregation of Gentle Shepherd MCC, but also to the Holy Spirit that fills each one of the Gentle Shepherd services.

We are a congregation of about 70 members (and still growing) with a worship attendance on Sunday (at 9 AM, Arizona Time) of approximately 55 to 60 people. Our worship style is "middle-of-the-road" liturgically speaking. Our services are full of laughter, joy, and they are spirit-filled. Even the individuals that join our service via the internet "Live" broadcast say they can feel the spirit as it surrounds them.

Gentle Shepherd Metropolitan Community Church is an Affirming and Accepting church. We accept everyone that wants to join our church family, be them Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered, Straight or just not quite sure yet. Be you young or old, male or female, you are welcome here.

The Sunday message is biblically based and it is aimed to speak to our relationships we share with God, other people, AND also with ourselves. Our spiritual life and relationship with God needs to apply to our daily living, if it is to be of value and to benefit us as Christians. A few of our members are our "Prayer Angels" and they ensure the spiritual needs and joys of our congregation is remembered and brought to God in prayer.

We have an outreach program to our community in collecting and donating cereal for low-income children. Breakfast is provided to "Joe’s Kids" before they start their school day. Children cannot learn without breakfast. We do have a designated Sunday to collect the cereal for "Joe’s Kids", but we will be happy to accept the cereal whenever someone would like to make their donation. Also we collect and donate food items to "The Agape Network". The Agape Network is an organization that provides food for those living with HIV and AIDS.

At the present time Gentle Shepherd MCC is involved in the Transition Process of finding a new pastor. Gentle Shepherd is searching for God's will in the life of the church in the form of calling a new Pastor. Gentle Shepherd is also preparing this year to celebrate our 25th Anniversary in October.
